UNITED WAY OF CLINTON & ESSEX

COUNTIES, INC. CAMPAIGN 2009

WHAT IS YOUR UNITED WAY?

Our United Way is a volunteer led non-profit organization that funds local programs and services that improve conditions throughout Clinton and Essex Counties.  An annual fundraising campaign is conducted on behalf of Community Partners to keep fundraising costs low, concentrate volunteer efforts, and reduce the number and frequency of fund requests.

United Way encourages and promotes philanthropy and volunteerism, and is accountable to donors for how we use contributions and to the community for the results they achieve.

This year's Campaign Goal:

$700,000

Think you've got it tough?  Imagine living on a fixed income or requiring special needs... Think it's hard to make ends meet in this economy?  Imagine that you couldn't make ends meet before the economy went haywire!!

The United Way of Clinton & Essex Counties is the only safety net many in our community have to depend on.  What do you think will happen to the thousands who are forced to rely on the service provided by one of 33 local agencies supported through the campaign?

Can you spare 50 cents A WEEK?  To help a neighbor?  Doesn't seem like much but if we all put our 50 cents together just think what we can do?

50 cents!  You can't even buy a soda for that!  Certainly not a latte or even a water these days!  But that 50 cents ads up to $26.00 a year in a tax deductible contribution to the United Way of Clinton & Essex Counties, Inc.  1000 workers giving just 50 cents a week through payroll deduction is $26,000!!!

Trust me, you won't really miss 50 cents a week, but please consider how much good your contribution will do for others not so fortunate.  This is the year we really need you.  Please give generously.
